Aggravated Manchester United fans want a side reminiscent of the glory their team is so commonly associated with; but will this happen under Solskjær?
Manchester United fans are split - with social media outraged and the hashtag "OleOut" trending, the future remains uncertain for Ole Gunnar Solksjær and his Manchester United team. With players lacking confidence and not registering a shot on target in 131 minutes of football; United are breaking records for all the wrong reasons. Consequently, the Norwegian manager’s longevity and experience at the highest level are both being called into question.
Since that magical night in Paris, when the Red Devils beat French giants Paris Saint German 3-2 with a last-minute Marcus Rashford penalty, United have not registered an away win in all competitions and I would not put that down to just travel sickness. Manchester United also agreed for the sale of Belgian Striker Romelu Lukaku and a loan deal for Chilean Alexis Sanchez, both to Italian club Inter Milan who are attempting a complete revamp to restore their past successes and the wonderful football they became known for but this also meant United’s attacking firepower has been severely nullified- even if they weren't playing very well to begin with. Since then the United boss has suggested he would rather be a striker short than have Lukaku because his "head was not there".
With many other stories being published involving Phil Jones being filmed on TV saying "sacked in the morning", players losing trust in Ole and people assuming reasons for United's lacklustre performances as of late, the rumour mill is certainly spinning and Manchester United fans seem to be one of the most divided fan bases in England. United have come under a great deal of scrutiny, with their integrity, style of play, players and the board all falling victim, there is a massive uncertainty amongst the board which trickles down to the dressing room and the fans. The unrest around the club is at an all-time high.
Definitely he was the problem there ,and the relief on the players shown through when they had a chance to be individual again. But I do think Ole's time to drop back to academy coaching is near.
Thank you for your comment, it is a viable one; do you think Ole's great start at United was down to the players being happy with the change from Mourinho? (i.e. morale being high etc)
I think he has had his day at United, and I think he is better coaching the academy players,he's out his depth
